CUNY New York City College of Technology
CUNY New York City College of Technology (City Tech) is located in Brooklyn, New York. This school was established back in 1946 and it now serves over 17,000 students. The school started out as an institute and transitioned into being a community college and then became the senior college that it is today during the 1980s. City Tech is a large school that offers more than 60 baccalaureate, associate’s degree, and certificate programs for students to take advantage of. City Tech is an accredited school by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Aside from having a reputation for academic excellence, this college also has many student organizations and the school has a robust athletics department that is part of the NCAA Division III.
The City Tech nursing program is going to offer students the associate’s in applied science degree program (AAS) and the bachelor’s of science in nursing degree program (BSN). Both programs are going to teach students the necessary skills to find success as professional nurses. Students from City Tech have a higher success rate on the NCLEX-RN licensure exam than any other school in New York. Both nursing programs have the full accreditation of the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
